"Tolpin China" Petal Plate

$36.00

ART: A hand painted china saucer with pink floral details, a cream background, and a gold scalloped trim. The flower is rich pink in the center, cream throughout, and is sealed with gloss medium. The flower was made with Arches paper and Rockwell watercolors.

HISTORY: This plate is marked Tolpin China. It was made by Tolpin Art Studios with the signature 22 carat gold detail. It was started by artist and decorator Emil Toplin in Chicago in 1920 but was still producing art into the 1940’s. These marks date the plate tone from around 1920. This plate has a hairline crack which seams to be under the glaze.

TO DISPLAY: This plate comes with a small invisible adhesive plate hanger. Want an acrylic easel like the image? Add one from the shop to your cart before checkout!
